Canada Global (Web News) Alpha House houses a record number of vulnerable people in Calgary. The needs of Calgary’s vulnerable population are complex and the people who support them are busier than ever.

Alpha House provided the most transportation in the last fiscal year since the Downtown Outreach Addictions Partnership team started.

The DOAP team moved 27,000 people to shelters, hospitals and clinics.

“We’re seeing more people on the streets than usual,” said Shondra Broval, Alpha House’s communications and fund development manager.

Broval predicts they are on track to see the same or higher numbers this fiscal year.
