Canada Global(Web News) The Election Commission has formed a high-level committee on the allegations of election rigging by Commissioner Rawalpindi.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, a meeting of the Election Commission was held on the allegations of alleged rigging in the elections, the honorable members of the commission participated in the meeting, Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja and Member Election Commission Punjab Babar Hasan Bharwana participated in the meeting online.
In the meeting of the Election Commission, the allegations made by the Rawalpindi Commissioner were deliberated.
According to the spokesperson of Election Commission, the committee will be headed by senior member Election Commission Sindh Nisar Durrani, the committee will include secretary, special secretary and additional director general law.
According to sources, the first meeting of the Election Commission’s inquiry committee will be held on Sunday, senior member Election Commission Nisar Durrani will preside over the meeting.
The committee will record the statements of the DROs of Rawalpindi and the concerned ROs in this regard, the committee will submit its report to the Election Commission within three days.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, after the report of the committee, a decision will be taken about the contempt action of the Election Commission and other legal proceedings against the Commissioner Rawalpindi.
