Canada Global(Web News)Following back-to-back rallies in Edmonton and Calgary yesterday, hundreds of people joined a rally in support of trans rights at the Alberta legislature on Sunday.
The rally was held after Alberta Premier Daniel Smith proposed policy changes regarding transgender youth, gender-affirming care, sexuality education and parental notification.
“I really don’t feel that our government has the right to enforce a policy as far as I’m concerned that starts in our schools,” said Nancy Dodsworth, who attended the rally. Sends the message that we are here for you and have support.
I hope the government listens when we say it’s not okay for trans kids.
Liberal MP and Edmonton Center representative Randy Bossonault addressed the crowd and offered his support.
