6 newborns and 9 other patients died due to lack of electricity and oxygen in the hospital. Clashes are ongoing between Hamas and the Israeli army around al-Shafa hospital. Israeli snipers are also targeting patients in the hospital.
As the Israeli government ordered the evacuation of the hospital, saying control of al-Shafa Hospital would take over 50 percent of northern Gaza, the British organization that runs the hospital’s children’s ICU unit said that the critically ill Moving children is a complicated process.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, there are currently 650 patients, 500 staff members and around 2,500 homeless people in al-Shafa.
