The Security Council called for a pause in the Gaza war

 Canada Global(Web News)40 days after the Israeli attacks, the UN Security Council called for a humanitarian pause in the war in Gaza.

In the Security Council, 12 votes were in favor of the resolution presented by Malta, while the United States, Great Britain and Russia did not participate in the voting.

The resolution also demanded the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas.

The resolution called for immediate and humanitarian pauses and corridors in Gaza for several days to allow aid to civilians in the besieged area.

On this occasion, the member of Malta in the United Nations, Vanessa Frazier, said that the members of the Security Council are hopeful to save the lives of civilians.

China’s ambassador to the United Nations said that we are all disappointed by the council’s inactivity in the last 40 days.

On the other hand, the Israeli army stormed Gaza’s largest al-Shafa hospital after several days of siege, where doctors refused to leave the hospital leaving the patients behind.

Israel destroyed parts of the southern entrance of al-Shifa hospital with bulldozers.

qatar has called for an international investigation into Israeli attacks on hospitals in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed to have received the weapon from al-Shafa Hospital, which doctors and Hamas denied as lies.

It should be noted that the number of martyred people in the Israeli attacks reached 11 thousand 500 while around 30 thousand people are injured.
