Canada Global(Web News)The United States says that even after the end of the war between Israel and Hamas, Israeli forces will remain in Gaza and monitor security issues.
According to the World News Agency, the statement issued from the White House said that President Biden, in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, insisted on a ceasefire in Gaza for 3 days and assured that Hamas would also do something during this time. But Israel will release the hostages.
US President Joe Biden told the Israeli Prime Minister that a 3-day break in the war is necessary to confirm the identity of all the hostages, after which a list of the names of the hostages will be provided.
The US president made the remarks following talks in which the US and Qatar mediated between Israel and Hamas, which resulted in the conditional release of 10 to 15 hostages.
Earlier, White House officials said that even after the end of the fighting in Gaza, Israeli forces will remain in Gaza to handle security matters. The US currently has no final solution for the future of Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded by saying that he did not trust Hamas and did not believe that Hamas would agree to or abide by any deal regarding the hostages.
On the other hand, the United States says that at the moment, all attention is focused on the evacuation of Israeli hostages, especially American citizens, from Gaza.
On the other hand, Hamas had indicated to release the 12 foreign nationals taken hostage, saying that Israel’s air and ground attacks are hindering the release of the hostages.
Remember that on October 7, Hamas attacked Israel in which 1400 Israelis were killed while 240 Israelis were taken hostage and brought to Gaza, including mostly Israeli soldiers and some foreigners.
