Canada Global (Web News) The man discovered dead in an Oshawa, Ontario, residence has been identified by police.
According to Durham Regional Police, on January 27 at at 9:45 a.m., officers were summoned to a residence on Drew Street after being asked to check on a man’s welfare.
When they came, authorities reported that they had discovered a male who had “severe trauma” and no vital signs.
According to the police, he was declared dead.
A man was detained at the scene “without incident,” according to a Saturday update from the police.
Officers reported that Oshawa resident Justin Steeves, 32, has been charged with first-degree murder.
The deceased has now been identified by police as Oshawa resident Ken Chopee, 58.
