Canada Global tv (Web News) The Finance Minister of Saudi Arabia has indicated to provide more financial assistance to Pakistan.
The Saudi minister said in a press conference that he will continue to help Pakistan as much as possible. He said that Saudi Arabia wants to strengthen its alliance with all countries.
His statement came after reports surfaced that Pakistan had approached friendly states to urgently seek more financial assistance as Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have hit record lows.
Earlier, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar had requested $3 billion in aid during a meeting with Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki.
Earlier this month, Saudi Arabia extended the repayment period of $3 billion already deposited by the Saudi Fund for Development in the State Bank of Pakistan.
