Planners behind leak of General Bajwa’s income tax records identified: Ishaq Dar

Canada Global (Web News) Ishaq Dar, the finance minister, said that he had received the interim report regarding the disclosure of General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s income tax data, and that they had identified some of the perpetrators.

Dar reiterated that it was “illegal” to release the income tax returns of the army chief in an interview with the Geo News show “Capital Talk”

The disclosure of Gen. Bajwa’s family members’ tax information was called “illegal and unjustified” by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar the day before.

“This is obviously a violation of the entire confidentiality of tax information that the law provides,” said the Finance Division.

Dar had instructed Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Revenue Tariq Mehmood Pasha to personally head the investigation, attach responsibility, and provide a report within 24 hours in light of this major error on the side of previously unidentified bureaucrats.

“I’ve seen the preliminary report. Dar said to the host of today’s broadcast, “I hope to get the final report today. He stated that the leak’s perpetrators have been identified by the government, and the matter will be resolved logically.

According to the finance czar, one person involved in the leak is from Lahore, and another is from Rawalpindi.

These individuals have permission to view the [data] for their evaluation, according to Dar.

According to the finance minister, if “illegal work” is permitted or if a blind eye is turned toward it, then a person is not carrying out their responsibility.

The finance minister declared that without a court order, “the law does not permit the release of the army chief or anybody else’s income tax returns.”
