Former skipper sets new record in tri-nation series final

Canada Global (Web News) Star batter Babar Azam has reached the 6,000-run milestone in one-day international (ODI) cricket.

He equaled Hashim Amla’s record as the fastest player to achieve this feat, accomplishing it in just 123 innings.

Babar also set a new record as the fastest Asian player to reach 6,000 runs, surpassing Virat Kohli, who previously held the record after reaching the mark in 136 innings.

The former captain is now the 11th Pakistani batter to achieve this milestone, joining an elite group that includes Inzamam-ul-Haq, Mohammad Yousuf, Saeed Anwar, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik, Javed Miandad, Younis Khan, Saleem Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, and Ejaz Ahmed.

He reached this landmark with his 10th run during the Tri-Nation Series final against New Zealand at Karachi Stadium.
