Canada Global (Web News) Malaysia’s health minister stated on Wednesday that the foreign minister will face a punishment for smoking a cigarette in a non-smoking area.
A picture of Foreign Minister Muhammad Hasan smoking at a street-side restaurant in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan was uploaded earlier this week by Health Minister Dzulkefly Ahmad.
In 2019, Malaysia outlawed smoking in all restaurants and cafes, and in October of this year, more stringent regulations were put into place.

On Wednesday, Dzulkefly posted on social media site X, “The Foreign Minister’s office has been informed of this matter,” adding that the foreign minister himself desired a fine for the infraction.
