Tortno, A Man Shot His Own Relatives, 2 Dead, 1 Injured

 Canada Global(Web News) A man allegedly shot three of his relatives in Toronto, resulting in the death of two people. The case started at home and then spilled onto a busy street in downtown Toronto on Tuesday afternoon. This information was provided by the Toronto Police.

The 51st Police Division responded to Dundas Street, east of Parliament Street in Regent’s Park at around 1.30pm after receiving reports of shots being fired. Police found two men and a woman with gunshot wounds at the scene. One person was declared dead on the spot, while the other died on arrival at the hospital, police said.

The woman was also taken to hospital, her injuries were not life-threatening and police say she will be discharged soon. Police found the suspect at the scene and after he fled, police apprehended him. Detective Sergeant Tiffany Casteel said at a news conference Tuesday evening that the suspect had to be chased by police for a short time, and the two sides got into a scuffle. Meanwhile, one policeman got injured in the arm and another in the leg.
The suspect was taken into custody and a weapon was also recovered from the spot. Castile said police are going to charge the suspect with first-degree murder. He also confirmed that the suspect was a relative of the three people he harmed.
