question about who Putin is. That Alexei Navalny is dead because he stood up to Putin, he stood up to the Kremlin. They stood for freedom and democracy and the right of the Russian people to choose their own future, and that was something that Putin had a keen eye for.”

The Prime Minister added that Navalny’s death redoubles the determination of Canada and other Western countries to stand up against Putin’s violations of human rights and international law.
