Canada Global (Web News) Three people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, after a seven-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Scarborough late Thursday night.The incident happened in the westbound express lane of Highway 401 near Nelson Road around 10:40 p.m.
Toronto Paramedic Services said one adult was taken to hospital with serious injuries, while two others suffered minor injuries.OPP Sergeant Sami Nasr said that we are still trying to find out the cause of the incident. The driver of the first tractor-trailer was trapped for a long time, until he was pulled out by firemen and taken to the hospital, he said.
Photos taken from the scene show charred floors after the massive fire. All express lanes of the highway were closed for hours, but reopened around 7 a.m.
