Canada Global (Web News) Sunday, a 4.1-magnitude earthquake shook Swat and nearby regions, but at first there were no official reports of casualties or damage to property.
The Hindukush Region of Afghanistan, at a depth of 96 kilometres, is where the earthquake originated, according to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad.
In the early hours of Sunday, a quake with a magnitude of 4.3 also shook Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi area.
Together with Islamabad, several cities in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan were recently shaken by an earthquake of a 6.8 magnitude. The earthquake resulted in nine fatalities and more than 160 injuries.
