Canada Global(Web News)Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has assured Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja to provide all possible support and resources for the holding of general elections on February 8 next year.
According to the report, the meeting took place before the Prime Minister’s departure to attend the Economic Cooperation Organization summit in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
After attending the summit, the prime minister will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia on Friday to attend the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference on Gaza and is likely to visit the UAE later.
Yesterday, Chief Election Commissioner Sikander Sultan Raja met Anwar Haq Kakar at the Prime Minister House and invited him to visit the Election Commission to review the arrangements for ensuring transparent and fair elections.
The Chief Election Commissioner informed the Prime Minister about the preparations of the Election Commission for holding the upcoming general elections in the country.

He told the Prime Minister that the final list of new constituencies will be released on November 30, after which the general election schedule will be announced soon.
The hearing of objections related to constituencies is currently ongoing, according to media reports, 1300 objections have been filed in the Election Commission in this regard.
Sources in the Prime Minister’s Office said that Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar will go to Saudi Arabia on Friday to attend the OIC emergency conference on Palestine.

Meanwhile, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar Haq Kakar was met by the Special Representative of Pakistanis residing in the Middle East and Islamic countries for Interfaith Harmony and Affairs Maulana Tahir Ashrafi.
According to the report, in the meeting, Maulana Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi discussed the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, condemned the genocide and atrocities committed by the Israeli army in Gaza.
